Bjorn's Description

The History

A reverb effect simulates a mild reverberation that is created when a sound is reflected in space. Every sound the is emitted for any instrument instrument accompanies reverberation in space before reaching human ears.

The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB creates an ideal and genuine reverberation. Acoustically, the most prestigious music venues are designed with the perfect reverberation in mind. Technologically, creators may use plates, springs and digital reverb in order to pursue the ideal reverberation.

This reverb pedal is different from other effect pedals that cloned historical simulations and reverberation styles. I wanted to create a reverb effect that would be wanted by guitar and bass players.

The Design

What I didn't want to do was create an overbearing and powerful spring reverb or a reverb tone produced as a deluding effect at an higher octave. I wanted to pursue the ideal reverb tone but also wanted to highlight the instrument. The custom program is recorded on a 24-bit digital chip. Its dry signal is analog, which is not converted to digital.

Ideal reverb tones for guitarists and bassists are neither spring, hall, nor room. I've created a mixture of all their strengths and brought them to the forefront. To put in more relative terms, it’s closer to the hall tone than to spring but not as bright as hall reverb. See what I mean?

By randomly modulating the decay time of reverb signals, it creates the effectsby which sounds spread in the space while remaining mono. This random modulation is programmed to imitate the string vibration property of guitars and basses. This is a property unique to the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB, different from the conventional reverb algorithm that creates layers of individually recorded reverberation. It is natural and solid but not too plain, and is most similar to "the" reverb tone players constantly seek.

The Reverb

The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB has the dynamic range that is five times larger than a general spring reverb. It is filtered to prevent it from having too much tremble or saturation. A broad dynamic range is essential to create an open spatial property.

At the same time, decay control was added to prevent reverberation from interfering with rhythm. The decay control designed by BJF does not simply adjust the overall reverb length. The decay time can be set from 2ms to 2s. In simpler terms, choose between a soft reverberation or a long-lasting reverberation. This decay control combined with the natural reverb is similar to studio-grade reverb thanks to the technology present in this pedal.

The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB’s early reflection is set to be short. Thanks to the short duration between the guitar/bass attack to the reverb startup and the overwhelmingly natural reverb tone, unnatural reverb is simply not present in the final outputted sound. The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB allows you to mute a dry signal with the Kill Dry switch. While it is a common function among rackmount reverbs, it is also effective when it’s connected to a parallel effects loop on some guitar amps and mixers. If you connect the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB with the Kill Dry on to the main signal chain, you can use it to create slow volume effects by setting the early reflection to short. It is important to note that it takes several seconds from the time the power is turned on until the digital chip inside is stabilized and starts running. The tone may become unstable during this period, so please maintain the bypass for several seconds after connecting an adapter.

This pedal is designed for guitars and basses. It is not only suitable for electric guitars and basses but also for acoustic guitars and basses as well.

PBR provides the best sound when it’s connected after distortion effects and before tremolo effects.

When developing reverb effects, I always put the guitarists' vision first, not mine. For this reason, I chose a balanced reverb tone and added more precise decay control that will not interfere with the rhythm.

I was confident but when I actually heard the tone of the PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB made, I was speechless. It's as though the sound travels in an unlimited space which gives you endless creative opportunities. ou can say that there is unlimited space expanding in this small pedal.

Good Value Denim Jacket With True to Size Fit
Great denim jacket for the price. It feels durable and well made, though the quality is not quite on par with higher end name brands, which is to be expected at this price point. The fit is true to size and matches expectations. It is comfortable out of the box and, like most denim, should become even more comfortable as it breaks in over time. The arm length runs slightly long, but if you usually find sleeves long on jackets, this one will fit similarly.

Great base to add patches to
I've bought this jacket twice now (lost the first one...). Great base for my DIY patch jackets. I buy an XL even though it's a size too large for me. It's a standard denim jacket, not much to write home about. Good pocket size, and I appreciate the functional chest pockets.

Great Wallet
I'm pretty particular when it comes to things that I need to carry at all times when I'm out. When looking for a new wallet back in 2014, I initially went with the oft recommended Saddleback Leather Medium Bifold. Initially, that wallet seemed to be both durable and well made. Unfortunately, after several months in the back pocket, two things became clear: first, the leather was so taught that it was breaking my credit cards in half at the pinch point of the credit card slot. Second, what I took for durability in the thickness of the leather quickly turned into nuisance as I ended up with an inch thick brick that ruined my seating comfort. I called Saddleback regarding the first point and they told me that it was a known issue and if I didn't like it I could send the wallet back, which I did. That left me at a crossroads with a new requirement: I wanted a leather wallet that was thin enough to not be uncomfortable, held 6 credit/id cards and a handful of bills. I searched around until I came across Bellroy. The travel wallet seemed to check all the boxes and added some features I never knew I needed. After 6 years of use, I finally decided that the original travel wallet I bought in 2014 had run its useful life, down to holes in the leather and all. I liked it so much, I bought another one. There are some subtle differences which I will highlight below. 1. Fits in Your Pocket This is ostensibly the best feature of the wallet. It is large in the two dimensions you shouldn't care about and thin where it counts. I have not found a pair of pants that I would wear that it doesn't fit in. With my passport, 6 credit/id cards, and a dozen bills it is roughly 3/4 inches thick. Fabulous. 2. The Right Pen I had no idea how useful the pen would be. I find occasion to pull it out at least once a week. I used to carry the wonderful Fisher Space Pen, but no longer do as this fills the role in a much for optimized way. Bellroy is kind enough to include an ink refill with every wallet and I still have the refill from 2014. That's not to delegitimize the previous point; the kind of things I write are forms and other short memos. I wouldn't use the pen to write a novel. The new wallet looks to have a pen that Bellroy have either white labelled or made themselves. I haven't yet written with it, but if it is at least as good as the Walkie it replaced, things should be fine. 3. Added Security The new wallet takes the split billfold and adds a flap that conveniently hides away the back section from prying eyes. In theory this seems like a useful feature. In practice, the flap is not quite long enough to allow for more than one or two bills without the cavity being visible when the wallet is opened. The new wallet also has RFID shielding which I don't recall being a feature of the old wallet. It sounds like a useful feature now that at least one of my credit cards has a contactless payment feature. 4. Leather It's a thin wallet so you should expect the leather to be thin as well. I got 6 years out of the first wallet and I'm not a guy who is easy on wallets. It has been in my pocket on rooftops doing solar installations, in machine shops, and on every kind of seat imaginable. My old wallet has been fully submerged in water more than once. With all that punishment, it outlasted the warranty by two times. None of the stitching has failed and the only real damage is two small holes in the outer leatherwork. If you are a business traveler, this should go out of style before it is rendered unusable from wear. In short, this is a great wallet for everyday use. I approve to the extent that I didn't look for a new choice when my old one wore out.

Very handy
Color: Sienna
I purchased it because I still use paper boarding passes. With luggage claim paper, your passport and ID card, things could get quite messy if you try to put everything in your bag or backpack’s compartment. This one organizes all those nicely. Because of its size it accommodates multiple boarding passes and luggage claim papers easily. (They used to get crumpled in international flights, and It annoyed me.). Yet it is compact enough to carry in your pocket. One negative is its price. It is expensive. But it is a quality product. Nice leather and well made. If you are willing to spend some $, this will spare you from searching your boarding pass and passport frantically at boarding. Highly recommend.

Excellent product, great for travel
Color: Cocoa
I just got back from a business trip and this is by far the most useful passport holder/wallet I've ever used. Lots of room for cards, bills, boarding passes, and a second passport and still folds very flat. Leather is good quality, and is very well put together. Since its too big for my pocket and will mostly live in my briefcase, I expect it to last a very long time. The only drawback is the high price, especially since the leather is probably not full grain (it's not advertised as full grain, so we can assume it's not). But it fits my needs perfectly, even if it is a little overpriced.
